3D and Print
This section is for the different 3D work and Print work I have completed, and experimented with this term.
For 3D I used different materials such as clay, latex, alginate and of course plaster. I have also used resin to create something for the storytelling project.
This is one out of five of the examples I created with the medium resin. I also used a silicone mould to get the right shape I wanted to create these resin plaques for the project I was doing. I have used rest before in my own time which is why I wanted to include it in a project.
These two 3D models are both made from plaster but were modelled to look like this with different materials. for example the one of the left is of my hand I poured alginate into my hand which dried to the shape and size of my hand which also picked up every detail, once dry I poured plaster into the alginate mould and waited for that to dry and then removed the alginate and this is the finish result. and on the right again is plaster but was moulded to clay. with a block of clay we used stamps and other objects to create designs and patterns into the clay and when we put plaster on it and died this was what I got.
And also for print we used a lot of different colours of ink and stencils to create different patterns and designs.
Below shows the stencil before and the finishing prints
These prints where made by carving out the letters to be stencils which created different spaces in multiple colours.
The most preferred print we experimented with was Lino print, where you have a block of Lino and some stencils to create what we wanted and I carved into the Lino what I wanted and with the ink started to make prints, which I made multiple of with different colours. after each print was completed id go over and carve into the Lino to create more patterns, I then would use different colours on top and of each other creating multiple layers, which I enjoyed. Below shows how the Lino looked after I finished carving and printing, and the many prints I have created.
